Radon Mitigation Photo Album: Sub Slab Depressurization in Boise, ID
Idaho Radon was contacted to reduce elevated radon levels at this North End property, which includes both a basement and a crawlspace. We installed a sub-slab depressurization system, with the primary suction point located in the closet of the basement bedroom. As the mitigation piping was routed through the crawlspace, we
installed a 6-mil vapor barrier encapsulation system and incorporated an additional suction point beneath the membrane to enhance system performance. Following installation, radon levels were successfully reduced by 84%, decreasing from an average of 8.1 pCi/L to 1.3 pCi/L.
