Radon Mitigation Photo Album: Crawlspace Encapsulation in Meridian, ID
This project involved the installation of a Passive Soil Depressurization system for a newly constructed Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with a compact footprint. IdahoRadon was contracted to install a sealed 10-mil vapor barrier in the crawlspace, incorporating sub-membrane piping placed beneath the barrier as part of the radonmitigation design.
Per the builder’s coordination plan, other contractors will complete the vertical piping from the crawlspace to the attic. If the homeowners choose to activate the system in thefuture, the final step would involve installing an in-line fan within the attic portion of the piping.
