This project involved the installation of an Active Soil Depressurization system for a newly constructed Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) with a compact footprint.
One of the primary challenges addressed involved locating the fan. Given that the ADU is part of a multi-million dollar residence, placing the fan on
the exterior was not acceptable to the client due to aesthetic concerns. Additionally, the original architectural plans called for fully vaulted ceilings throughout the unit. In
collaboration with the builder, a small attic space was created above the utility room to discreetly house the fan, maintaining both functionality and visual integrity.

Prior to mitigation, radon levels at this property exceeded 14 pCi/L. Idaho Radon successfully reduced the levels to below 2.5 pCi/L by installing a single mitigation system designed to address both a 550 sq. ft. crawlspace and approximately 1,000 sq. ft. of basement area.
