For a recently constructed home in Boise’s North End, we were fortunate to have access to the original construction plans. By reviewing these documents, we identified the locations of load-bearing footings and determined that the most effective system design would require four suction points and two fans. Upon installation and completion, the system successfully reduced the average radon level to 0.9 pCi/L.
Basement Mitigation in Boise, ID
This ADU unit was built with a crawlspace for the foundation, but no crawlspace entrance. In total, the building was about 50 sq ft. To lower their levels, we proceeded with a ventilation system to draw air out from under the floor. The house contained 4 crawlspace vents, and all were sealed off to help improve the suction zone. We successfully lowered the radon levels in this house.
